What is Exclaimer doing to prepare for GDPR?
Exclaimer is in the midst of a thorough review of its systems, processes and practices as part of its all encompassing General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance project.
As part of this project Exclaimer is analysing its business operations to ensure it meets its obligations under the new regulations and is making any changes where necessary.
Exclaimer is committed to being compliant by 25 May 2018.
The infrastructure that we use to operate our ‘Exclaimer Cloud – Signatures for Office 365’ service is based in a number of different territories. The specific territory chosen for you is based on your choice of country at the point of creating your portal account. This gives you the choice and security of knowing where your data is.
Once our service has received an email from Office 365, there is no onward transfer of your data by Exclaimer other than handing it back to Office 365 once it has been imprinted. With this in mind, if you choose a country located within the EU for your signature service, your data will never be transferred outside of the EU by Exclaimer.
We have appointed a Data Protection Officer who can be contacted at GDPRinfo@exclaimer.com.
In addition, to give customers further assurance, all data processed by Exclaimer is securely managed according to the standards of our ISO 27001:2013 Certification.
Exclaimer has also engaged outside legal assistance to ensure that we are fully compliant with the new regulations.
